A male tiger has died in a fight for supremacy between two tigers in Valmiki Tiger Reserve of Bettiah. The incident took place in compartment number-46 Amahwa of Manguraha forest area of Valmiki Tiger Reserve of the district. According to the information, the body of the male tiger was found on Friday morning. The dead tiger has serious wounds on its body, face and head. The body appears to be two days old. Meanwhile, the forest department team is searching for the other injured tiger.
The forest department team believes that the other tiger is also seriously injured and is hiding somewhere in the forest. The age of the dead tiger is said to be around eight years. According to the doctors of VTR, there are deep wounds on the legs, face and head of the dead tiger. It is feared that the tiger died due to excessive bleeding in the bloody conflict. The forest department is investigating the track cameras installed in the forest. Here, a team of forest personnel under the leadership of forest ranger Sunil Kumar Pathak is engaged in tracking the footprints of the injured tiger.
